Invite friends, family, or colleagues to join First Defence Finance, and you’ll both get £5 added to your Regular Saver account.

How it works

  1. Generate your unique link - Log into the mobile app or online banking and click “Share Your Link” on the “Earn £5 for You and Your Friends!” notice.
  2. Share it with friends, family or colleagues - Send your link to anyone who could benefit from joining FDF.
  3. Your friend signs up -  Make sure they select “Family, friend, or colleague” when asked how they heard about us.
  4. Get rewarded! - £5 is added to both your accounts once your friend completes sign-up and sets up their regular savings deposit.

Information For Referred Members

  • You will receive £5 in your Regular Saver account once you complete sign-up and set up your first deposit.
  • Make sure you use the referral link provided by your friend and select “Family, friend, or colleague” when asked how you heard about us.
  • Only referrals completed correctly will qualify.

  • Can I refer multiple friends?

    Yes! There’s no limit to the number of friends you can refer during the campaign period.

  • When will I receive my £5 reward?

    Your reward is credited automatically after your friend completes sign-up and makes their first savings deposit.


    You should allow up to 7 working days for the funds to show in your Regular Saver account.

  • Can I withdraw the £5.00?

    The £5.00 is yours to save or spend!

    If you have a loan with us, you may need to call us for help withdrawing your funds.

  • My friend didn’t select “Family, friend, or colleague”. Can I still get the £5?

    Unfortunately, the referral cannot be tracked if this step is missed. 


    Please ask your friend to start again using your unique link. They can also call us for help.

Who Can Join?

  • Anyone currently employed by the Ministry of Defence, British Army, Royal Navy or the Royal Airforce.
  • British Military Veterans.
  • Family members living in the same household as the above.
