How Our Savings Accounts Work
When you join, you will automatically get a 'Regular Saver' account. Once you become a member, you can open as many additional accounts as you want. If you're still serving, your savings can be automatically set aside from your salary after tax and deposited into whichever savings account you want. We call this a Payroll Deduction. Veterans and Armed Forces Family members can save just as easily by Direct Debit.
What does 'Membership' mean?
When you become a member of First Defence Finance, you become a shareholder of our Credit Union. That means you have a vote on how we run the business. It also means you're keeping your money in your community.
Who Can Join?
- Anyone currently employed by the Ministry of Defence, British Army, Royal Navy or the Royal Airforce.
- British Military Veterans.
- Family members living in the same household as the above.
